| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to examine the applicability of the Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) to a communicative task for EFL (English as a Foreign Language) learners. Numerous studies have used the SILL in order to evaluate learners'general strategy use.However, there is little research which uses the SILL to investigate learners'performance during communicative tasks in Japanese context. This study examined whether the instrument was reliable and validate by comparing with students' SLEP test scores and oral communication test scores. The results indicate that the SILL could be introduced to assess students'general learning strategy use. However, it was not perfectly appropriate to use the SILL for estimating success in communicative tasks. Thus, it is essential to develop a reliable inventory for communicative tasks in the future research. | |||||
