| 内容記述 | While the studies of business ethics in Japan are progressing, it appears that the discussions have not sufficiently been made on the general direction for management in companies and on its awareness and practice, as compared with the cases of environmental ethics and bioethics. In business ethics, the words such as corporate governance and compliance frequently appear on newspapers, but the common recognition of their concrete meanings has not been established yet. The author thinks that the establishment of the ethical direction in general for management in companies is the most important issue in discussing business ethics. Among several ethical theories, the stakeholder theory seems to easily be recognized by a society. This theory is the one easily acceptable by the Japanese society due to its democratic characteristics. Under these circumstances, it seems that the important thing for the stakeholder theory at present is to show its effectiveness in actual cases. This article is to discuss the abovementioned issue by introducing recent several articles in the U.S. | |||||
