| 内容記述 | Using healthy untrained female college students aged 18-19 years old, we investigated whether physical fitness is related to season of birth. The 20-sec side step, vertical jump and 3-min Harvard step tests were carried out for agility, muscular power and endurance capacity, respectively. Those born in spring tended to have relatively higher agility, muscular power and endurance capacity, whereas those born in winter tended to have relatively lower scores. Subjects born in summer tended to have relatively higher agility and muscular power, while those born in autumn tended to have relatively lower agility and muscular power and higher endurance capacity. These results suggest that physical fitness may be associated with season of birth. | |||||
